New roof at King’s Cross

The Godalming Office is working closely with Kier Rail to produce scaffold solutions to very complex problems at King’s Cross Station. These have included a weather tight structure which spans over the whole roof and can be moved along as the refurbishment works progress as well as more traditional access scaffolds.

A moving roof…

The company is currently undertaking a complex 3D animated analysis of the landmark restaurant building at Warrior Square in Southend. Farringdon station temporary works

As part of the Crossrail project the Bristol Office continues to support the Barhale team at Farringdon Station on the design and approval of temporary ground supports. The designs are to facilitate the diversion of one of London’s main sewer runs within a very congested and restricted site.

Building bridges with Birse & Network Rail

The team in Bristol are working with Birse Rail on the replacement of a steel underbridge with twin insitu-concrete boxes using innovative concrete mixes to improve buildability and construction programme. This package also includes inspection and design of repairs on an overbridge in Cardiff and three underbridges in Pontypridd, Taunton and Dawlish.

Shalford Mill

National Trust mill restoration

This scheme involved a sensitive restoration of a waterwheel at Shalford Mill, Guildford for the National Trust. Crouch Waterfall designed temporary works to enable the restoration, including temporary damming of the river and diverting flow through the bypass sluice. Further programmed works include refurbishment of the mill timbers and other internal works.

In the swim with MRJ Rundell

Temporary works for ISG Pearce

Both offices are working closely with the team at ISG Pearce to provide temporary works design services for their sites around the country including new-build and refurbishment for Tesco Stores and also new-build schools. Temporary Works Supervisors have also been provided by Crouch Waterfall.
